TVs in headrests

It seems that most people are in favour of these. Personally I can't stand them as the screen is just so close to your face.

In business class you sometimes get a screen that comes out of the arm rest and then at least the screen has a little distance between you and it.

But, I much preferred the large screens (even if some seats got poor views). Am I the only one or do others dislike these pathetic little small screens?

Yes, you are the only one.

- More movie choices
- If you decide to take a nap after a movie starts, you can watch it again.
- Your sight don't get blocked when people are walking down the aisle, or when food is served
- Video games
- Many of the big screen projectors are so old that their color are washed out, out of focus, etc...
- And you get a good view of the big screen from only a few seats in the cabin. For example, on a 747, you can never get a good movie-viewing window seat
- etc.

I much prefer personal in seat video, especially the ones with on demand movies. The view of the big screen is so bad that I don't even bother to watch.

Most airlines do not allow you to choose when you want to watch the movie - once they do, individual TVs will become a lot more attractive to me. But I hate watching TV whilst eating and so always end up not watching the film.

Often the headphones do not work on flights and this affected movies in the old days on big screens. But how annoying would it be if you found your individual TV didn't work? This has happened to me before although it didn't overly bother me as I don't like watching small TVs at a very close proximity and the film selection was as poor as it often is.

I too love the personal headrest t.v.'s I beleive American has movies that you can choose as well as pause if need be. We flew them from BOS-LHR and I watched movies and played video games the entire flight. Loved it.
