Trnasatlantic Busines Class-United or American
How do the two airlines compare in transatlantic business class? I don't need information on Virgin or Singapore - which may be better but which don't accept my frequent flier miles!

I haven't flown transatlantic business class on United, but have on both American and Delta. Overall, American is the best in my opinion. Generally the food is a bit better and seats seem a little more comfortable. The wine choices are better on Delta however. Either is so far superior to coach that I will never fly transatlantic coach again!

Alas, I am coming back from Europe on Iberia in coach. But I figure it's a day flight so I won't have to sleep and I can get up alot out of my cramped seat and walk around. Iberia will not allow me to use AA miles to upgrade to coach. I could have flown from Madrid to London, then returned business class on American but it would have added 4 hours to my travel time. At least I'll be business class on the night flight from Chicago to London
