sufficient time between flights in CDG?

I am flying business class on Delta to Istanbul leaving Miami with a 2 hour stop and flight change in CDG, Paris. Is this enough time to do the flight with checked in luggage or should I do just carryon? Will I have to clear customs in Paris or not until Istanbul>? Thanks in advance for advise. Nanam

That's plenty of time, and you won't clear immigration or customs at CDG. Only security.

thanks Rkkwan, a Delta stewardess told me that she would not do checked luggage with that connection. Glad for another opinion

Well, you have to understand that some folks are simply paranoid about losing luggage. Might you lose your luggage? Sure, but I don't think having a longer connection time will do anything to minimize that risk.

Two hours is plenty of time at CDG. Indeed, it is about as long of a layover as I would want to book - it gives you enough time to not be rushed, but you also don't find yourself waiting too long. There isn't much to do at CDG, so a 4-hour layover, for example, would get very boring, IMO.

I've made successful connections at CDG several times with less than 2 hours. Unless you have a serious delay you will be fine.

Pack your carry-on so you could get by for 1 day should your luggage happen be delayed. Not saying it will happen, but for me it takes the worry out knowing I've got essentials right with me, but the luxury of extra packing space having a checked bag as well.
