Showers in the sky

Evidently Emirates are planning on equipping their A380s with showers - why don't I think this will be a good idea?????

Somehow I can't imagine the water pressure being too good. Do they have to run back to their seat naked if the fasten seatbelt sign comes on?

Hey, wally. Emirate is not a US airline. We all know that they turn off the seatbelt signs right after takeoff until just before landing. Nothing you need to worry about!

but environmentalists are already attacking the scheme as irresponsible.

why don't these people go after the super rich that own private 747s or the sheik that just ordered A380 for his private use. It features steam room, jacuzzi tub, showers, lavish furnishing, etc... and at most will have just few people on board on any given flight? How much carbon emmisions per person will that amount to?

I guess going after those people is not as fashionable and news worthy, so go after a huge company that actually will be transporting few hundred people on most flights.

I averaged 61.9 miles per gallon on my Prius hybrid after driving 471 miles. Maybe Airbus could make a hybrid A380? With all that water on board, maybe it could run on hydrogen?

If the flight is long enough to require taking a shower en route, it's too long. I'd rather just find an airline that can get me there faster.

Well this really puts some meaning into that phrase about "the great unwashed masses back in coach".

Wally, Sorry I don't believe you. I have a Prius and am quite good at pulse and drive. No one on the Priuschat site has had your results. How slow do you drive? Who are you trying to impress. Are you a Prius dealer. Are you Rickey Hirose?
