Self check-in question

I am flying out of O'Hare tomorrow and am only bringing a carry on bag. I plan on printing out my boarding pass here at home before I leave. Do I have to stop at a self check in place at O'Hare as well or once I get to the airport can I just go right to security with my carry on?

With a boarding pass in hand and no luggage to check, you can go right to security.

It depends on your airline and destination.

Some airlines (maybe all?) want you to to go to their desk before security to get your documents checked if you're on an international flight. But this all should be on the boarding pass you print out.

Whichever airlines allow you to check-in online for an International flight will not need you to come to the desk. You enter your passport data as you do the check-in procedure online.

flanneruk, I think that the airlines that want to check your documents for international flights don't let yuo print your passes.
