Schedule pairings on United

I've been looking at flights from SMF to AUS by way of SFO, but not all the United Express flights shown when I look at SMF to SFO turn up for the SMF/AUS itinerary. The idea SMF/SFO flight leaves at 9:22 a.m., arriving at SFO at 10:04--plenty of time to catch the 11:00 flight on to AUS. But that combination doesn't come up when I search for SMF/AUS. Any ideas?

So why, I wonder, didn't that package come up when I looked for the same flights? I have to say that I find the AA web site much more straightforward.

As noted by AAFF, If you want to get flights at a particular time, you must do your search by "schedule" rather than by "price."

You might want to check your dates. According to my schedule, the 9:22 flight ended on 9/6 and was changed to 9:37. The flight goes back to 9:22 sometime at the end of Oct. When I ran a search by schedule for your flight for Nov 1, the 9:22 showed up. It does not show up on Sept 21. Searching by schedule gives you all available flights.
