Ryan air carry on personal items

I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience having any issues w their personal item sizes? I can't seem to find an item in these exact dimensions. I have a small backpack, small like purse size not regular size. I'm just curious if anyone has experienced being made to check their items because it wasn't exact. Thanks

Never experienced an issue with personal items on Ryanair and have never found an issue finding the dimensions on their website either. If you comply, you too won't have issues.

There's no need whatsoever to find bags or personal items which are the SAME size as the published dimensions. But your items must be LESS than each of those dimensions; the publish numbers are the maximum allowed size. (Whether you can cheat a bit on those, of course, is up to the gate/counter agent at the time of the flight.)

Eh ok. I had no issue finding their sizes for the personal item it's that I can't find a personal item that fits those dimensions and carries what I need it to. I wanTed to use a backpack/purse but it's slightly outside the parameters. Like for instance my bag is no where near as deep as they allow but it's slightly taller. Width is good also and it's very squishable.

a 'squishable' bag is good. As long as one can squish into the sizer box it is allowed.

I have a pretty big Steve Madden satchel/tote that I often use as a personal item on most overseas/intra-Europe flights because it can do double duty as a carry on and as a handbag (though large one). Even though its actual dimensions are a bit larger, it is totally squishable and has always been allowed.

Oops, sounds to me like you want to carry something that is larger than the stated dimensions in one dimension at least.

If you cant squish it down to the dimensions with what you NEED it to carry, then you have a problem. Can you or can't you?
