AAFF,
I'll give it a shot and see what happens. How's the recline on the 762 J seats for sleeping? Do they have leg/foot rests? I tried searching on airliners.net but only found a pic of the Y cabin.
ejcrowe,
Staying at Jade Mountain. Have you been? I've been wanting to stay there since it opened although reading the reviews, I'm glad I waited as it seems like they've improved the food/services this year.

I have not flown a transcon for years on the 762, but I believe they still have the old J seats. They were never converted to the new ones, like the ones on a 763 or 777. It's OK, and they do have a foot rest, but I always needed to use my carry on to support the footrest as they would drop to an uncomfortable position. Once supported by my computer bag, I was always able to find a comfy position and sleep or watch a movie on my laptop. The transcon J service is very nice from what I remember. Hope they did not cut on the food/desserts/wines. I was always a happy customer in that dept.

Ahhh, Jade Mountain. It looks lovely, and I have visited Anse Chastenet, but unfortunately for me Jade Mountain is beyond my vacation budget. It's a gorgeous location and St. Lucia is quite lush and beautiful down there near the Pitons. It was the first island I visited in the Caribbean, a vacation that has led to an intense love for the entire region. Hope you have a great time!

There are a couple of folks over on the Caribbean forum who have asked about Jade Mountain in recent months. I'm sure they'd appreciate some feedback about it, and I certainly love reading trip reports, too, if you have the time and inclination upon your return.
