LTU Airlines
My family (including elderly parents and teenagers) are flying from Dusseldorf to JFK in August.Does anyone have any experience with LTU airlines? Their schedule and low rates seem too good to be true. If the seats are too small or don't recline it would be inappropriate for my parents. Thanks for your help!

LTU uses the Airbus 330 for US routes. They have standard 2-4-2 seating, but according to airlinequality.com, seat pitch is 30". About 1-2" less legroom than most.
I have read anything that suggest the seats won't recline. They should.

Just returned from our first round trip flight Ft. Myers Dusseldorf on LTU. I tried LTU because of a move to Florida and was thrilled to find out it had non-stop to Europe from Ft. Myers. We were very please with the flight. The A330 was new and spotless. Flights were on time. The crew was very professional and the 2 meals were fine. Wine was extra, but very good and earphones were 2E, there were 2 movies on overhead monitors about every 5 rows. Only problem was: we paid extra for exit row seats for the leg room. The aisle seat was fine but the window seat has the box for the escape ramp and leaves VERY little leg room. Also, people waiting for the WC always stand in front of the monitor and we had to constantaly say "excuse me". Not worth the upgrade cost. Others in our party had regular coach seats and were very comfortable (for coach). No difference from our old regular Delta. Check-ins were a breeze. Both airports were beautiful. Price was right. I have already booked flights for August/Sept. So glad I now have such a nice, quick and easy connection from Florida to Germany. Thanks LTU
