Lost luggage in Italy
A connecting flight from Munich to Florence was cancelled 10/1/22. Lufthansa rerouted my wife and daughter to Venice, via Air Dolomiti. Their luggage hasn't been seen in seven days. I do not speak the language, but the Air Dolomiti site indicates at least one bag is in transit to where the women were staying at a villa, cooking school outside of Florence. This site hasn't changed. The women are now coming home without their luggage. What do we do? Whom do we contact to retrieve the bags and make a claim for compensation?

Check that the bags have not arrived at the villa.
Check EU rules on compensation involving air travel. Then get in touch with the original airline (Lufthansa) and make a claim, citing the relevant rule if such a rule exists. Send a copy to Air Dolomiti. Keep all the original routing information as proof of legitimate claim. Good luck.
