Legitimate First/Business Discount Site?
Do not have enought airline points for a business class ticket to Hong Kong with onward travel to
Denpasar, Bali for a professional conference. Upgrade not permitted either under various airline alliance rules. While I have traveled coach numerous times, for personal age/comfort issues I
really need to fly business on this trip. Does anyone know of a reputable discount site/consolidator (especially on LAX-Asia routes) where I can get a fairly priced business class ticket? Am willing to forego mileage on airline frequent flyer programs. Please advise!

Try posting this message on flyertalk.com (a forum for frequent business travellers). Your best bet is to post the question on the Marco Polo/Cathay discussion forum (to reach the frequent travellers in and to Asia) and in the 'Travel and Dining' section for Asia. Good luck.
Also, if you strike out completely on discount tickets, what about travelling World Traveller Plus on BA (LAX-London-HKG) and then HKG-Bali in economy?

Flying through London from LA to Bali doesn't make much sense, but the Executive Economy on SQ's LAX-SIN non-stop, and Evergreen Deluxe on EVA's LAX-TPE service are good alternatives if you want something better than regular coach but cost significantly less than business.
And sorry, I don't have experience with discount First/Business sites.

Try http://www.biztravelbrokers.com I tried them once. The rates are pretty decent. You do not need miles on this one because they use their own miles to get you what you need provided you give them enough time.

Just one warning about Franto's suggestion:
If the airline suspects that the ticket was bought from a mileage broker, the ticket will be cancelled and your only other option will be to purchase a new ticket if you still need to fly. It's against the airlines frequent flyer programs to buy/sell/trade miles and they do reserve the right to cancel any ticket that they suspect broke the rules. Do they catch everybody? no, but if they catch you, your only recourse is to try to get your money back from the broker that sold you the ticket. A VERY SLIM CHANCE AT BEST!.
For regular consolidators (not mileage brokers), try this site:
www.airlineconsolidator.com
Good luck!

Thanks rkkwan for the info. I was hoping someone more familiar with the the trans-Pacific routes would identify something comparable to BA's World Traveller Plus. This will be useful for my next trip. EVA's Deluxe Economy seems to be widely available, but is Singapore's Executive Economy available on any flights other than the 18-hour NYC-SIN specially configured 2-class plane?
