Late flight from Miami Intl Airport
Hi,
I'm taking a cruise next week on the NCL Getaway from Miami. My flight back is only at 8h00 p.m. and the debarkation is around 8h00 a.m. Could anyone give me any ideas on what to do to pass the time during the day. Any sightseeing where you would be picked-up at the Port of Miami, taking care of your luggage and dropping you at the Airport?
Any help would be appreciated.

mlgb - Yes, I'm sure I'm getting on the cruise ship! And I saved $400 by booking the flights I had.
janisj - I did check all the excursions offered on the ship. For the longest one (4 hours)I would have had to be ready to leave the ship by 7h30am, would have been at the airport around 2h00pm, still would have had to wait about 6 more hours and it would have cost me around $200 (for two). Instead I decided not to take any excursion - saved $200 - stayed in the cabin until 9h00 am, had breakfast, left the ship after 10h00, use my transfer voucher and arrived at the airport around 12h00. The waiting time wasn't that bad.
As far as getting on the ship, we arrived at 12h05, met the Norwegian agent, waited for a bus over half hour (I didn't care about the waiting since I was with them at that point), we boarded at 2h15 and had a wonderful cruise.

take the Tri Rail to Fort Lauderdale 3 bucks? Stay at the Hilton Marina Hotel, across from the Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port. Its the most amazing place if you get a wrap around high floor room. Then take the tri rail back to Miami for your cruise. Trust me.

Don't know why someone continues to beat a dead horse about arriving earlier. Since he had voucher for the transfer the ship was expecting him and would have taken care of him regardless of the delay unless the delay was beyond the departure time. I am guessing the reason he sit in the bus for an hour was that they were waiting for someone who was delayed.
Two years we were traveling independent of the ship, thought boarding was open till four but that was the departure time. Arrived at 3.30 just as last table was been taken down in the check-in area. The only comment, "Glad you make it."
He was fine. Get over it.
