Always used JAL for ORD-NRT-BKK in February. ANA started at ORD last year and has better pricing for same route.

How does ANA compare to JAL from your experience? We fly economy class. Tried to find ANA experience on airlinequality.com but didn't see any.

bkk95, I've flown JAL a few times and I have flown ANA only once.
Of all the times I've flown JAL I have only had one good flight. Now, I take JAL only when I've no other choice. The flight I had on ANA was excellent. Based on my experiences with these two airlines I would choose ANA.

joel flew ANA throughout Japan this spring (and internationally also, from LAX) and was very impressed). he's not flown JAL, but historically they do have an impressive reputation. i think you'd do fine on either.

I haven't used either but my mom was a great fan of JAL even to the point of paying more to use them. If you knew her, you would know that meant something!!

I flew ANA to japan around christmas time a couple years ago and was very pleased. I dont know if it was because I had a window seat and two empty seats next to me, but i would definitely ues them again. Sorry, cant comment on JAL. My sister uses them whenever she flies to japan so she likes em. Either way you should be fine.
