ITA Software.com ticketing

Using a tip from this site I checked fares for a christmas week trip from DC-MIA-CLT-DC. ITAsoftware.com came up with some great fares using a combination of Jet Blue and US Air. When I clicked on how to book it said I should contact a travel agent for assistance and give them the exact flight codes.

I don't have a regular travel agent. Will any travel agency be able to help me with this booking? Is anyone familiar with how this works?

Thanks.

Yes, most agents that ticket air can help you. I use ITA all the time and IMO, they are the best search engine out there. Agents just need the booking codes or you can email the entire itinerary to them.

I think agents are great. You have to find one that you like and they shouldn't mind working for you. Also, a little loyalty can go a long way.

Just keep in mind that most agents now charge a fee. Some $5, some $10, and some higher. In addition to the fare.

Now that you've found your dates and flights, you can also check Orbitz for the same and possibly purchase through their site. That's what I did after using ITA as a search engine.

The problem with orbitz using two airlines like this is that they often will not pull up the same combination. Also, I don't think orbitz uses Jet Blue. Do they?
