I use them and they are quite informative in terms of flight status, where your plane is, gates etc. No downside and pretty easy to use and its free.

I will be flying into Montreal soon and have downloaded the ArriveCan app. I am waiting until a few days before departure to upload any documents to it but it seems that it is what is being recommended to show vaccination, etc. proof. Did you use this app when entering? Thanks!
