How is customs in ATL?
Wondering if anyone has a recent experience with customs in ATL. I have been through customs in DFW (no problem) and MIA (what a nightmare!!) but not ATL. We will be flying in from Jamaica and will have 2 hours to make our connecting flight.
Thanks in advance for your input.

I've been through customs there many times with no problem, most recently summer of '02 so I don't know if anything has changed over the past 18 months. The lines can sometimes get long, but the officials seemed to move U.S. citizens through pretty quickly. It probably took us under an hour.

littledarlin3 - think i answered your question regarding cvg several weeks back. two hours is plenty of time to get through customs in atl. i've used this airport coming in from europe, carribean and mexico many times without any problems.

ATL had the Olympics in 1996 and have a big facility as a result, of course they usually only have a few lines open, but enough to accommodate. Flying in especially from Jamaica you will have dogs there, and they will go over your luggage below and above on the carousel sometimes...some people think they can bring things back and won't get caught....

MJZ - yes, you did answer a question for me about CVG. I tend to get just a tad obsessive with trying to "figure it all out" especially when experiencing new airports. But, it sounds like we'll be fine on all connections. That puts my mind at ease.
Just 23 more sleeps and we'll be on our way!!
Thanks so much for all your replies.
