Has anyone flown in SQ A380 First Class Suite

Just wondering if it turned out to be all that you expected.

I can't imagine spending that amount of money just for the travel. I would rather spend it at the destination. Is it just me?

Only in my dreams...

No, it's not just you. I'm all for being comfortable on super long flights, but I'd rather spread my vacation money out and enjoy myself once I arrive.

Phew! I am glad I am not alone. Would love to know what it was like though! Then I can dream too.

It's just you. Those who fly SQ's First Suite don't care about having enough money to spend at the destination. In fact, they don't care about having enough money to spend anywhere.

As rk said, money is no object for people buying those seats. Would love to try it, though.

I did get to try biz class on the 380 with SQ and it's great-seats are as comfortable as any airline seat can get-30in wide! I ran down to get a look at the suites and a F/A started giving me the full tour until some passengers showed up. They do have a lot of privacy although the partitions do not go all the way up to the ceiling so you can see over and in.

You know the old saying:

If you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it.

as rkkwan said, the people that fly in F anywhere in the world are not the average tourists that have a limited vacation budget.

One of my best friends sold his company and treated his close friends to an amazing travel experience on an abbrievated trip around the world. Part of the trip was a ride in first on an A380 from London to Singapore. I've been fortunate to travel the world in Business and First as a result of my road warrior days, but this experience was memorable and one that I will probably not repeat any time soon. I can't speak highly enough of the experience. Since I left corporate and started my own venture, I aim to reciprocate the favor with my truly special friends and family. Up until this trip, I was a big fan of F on Qantas where every flight had been superb. Must say, SQ is my new favourite.

If only... I have a friend who is a pilot and I am eagerly waiting for the day when he flies on the A380 and gives me a report of the first class double beds with Singapore. Ah, and all this luxury at only a fraction of the price.... I hate being a "back end flyer"!

I wonder how many people have flown the trip on stolen credit cards?

I'm considering business class with Singapore Airlines from Syd to Cairo... I admit, I was a touch excited when I looked at the plane I would be on for the Sydney to Singapore leg and it was the A380!!! That's as far up as I'll get!!
