Germanwings is a subsidiary of Lufthansa.
TUIfly belongs to Germany's largest travel organisation.
Both are budget airlines. This means, there are some restrictions (e.g. you might pay for checked baggage, you might pay for food onboard), otherwise they are professionally operated, reliable carriers.
Watch for airports. Budget carriers often avoid the main city airports and use secondary airports which might be less desirable. Better look on a map before you book.
