Flight cancelled twice...third times a charm?

I booked a flight from Zürich to Seattle last January for this July. My BA flight was cancelled in February but I got a new BA flight. My flight was cancelled again yesterday but found a new flight with Iceland Air. I'm paying another 400 in the meantime. Frustrating!

I hope you get to your destination.

Things are not back to normal and flights booked at least 4 months out seem to be a problem. Don’t get me started on the lousy credits they gave out last year. It’s been too difficult to use them and us the customer loose if they can’t be used. So I will cross my fingers for you.

Not sure what the expectation is of what airlines are supposed to do. Operate empty flights to countries you can't easily get in/out of or should they make cancellations on an ad hoc basis depending on latest restrictions/flight take up? If the BA flights from ZRH to SEA were via London, it has been known since Mar 20 that the US has been closed to UK citizens who I would think would make up the majority of the LON-SEA passengers and the UK had/has restrictions to US citizens for entering the UK from the US. No one knew in January what June/July will look like as far as travel is concerned.
