My father flew Iberia from ORD to Madrid last month and was pleased overall. The food and service was good, the movie so so, the seats a little cramped and not as much legroom as American Airlines in regular coach (not the bulkhead). The outbound flight from ORD to Madrid was delayed by 1 hour but the return flight was on time.

Flew ORD-MAD-ORD early last month. Overall: OK. The seats are not the newest generation, i.e., they don't have adjustable headrests, etc. The flights were full, and there was not a lot of room - in front of the bulkhead you should be OK though. The food was edible, the female crew was not particularly friendly, whereas the male crew was. They have an "open bar" throughout the flight in the very back - you need to get up to get "stuff".
On the way there we were stuck in the plane for 2 hours before takeoff - with no apology, no explanation, no water and no ventilation...

I flew Iberia in December from Madrid to JFK. IT WAS AWFUL,AWFUL, AWFUL. The flight attendants, besides being the rudest I have ever encountered, do not do complete safety checks. I am a former flight attendant and was horrified. Our flight was also almost 3 hours late with no explanation or apology. I will never take that airline again.
