Anyone who has flown on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner -- have you noticed a difference in how you physically feel during the flight (I've seen a couple of posts here from people saying they feel less jet lag)? I understand that the cabin pressure is different. I suffer from severe altitude sickness whenever I fly and I'm wondering if flying on the Dreamliner is going to be the answer to my dreams.

We found the air to be fresher and better circulated -We took a flight from London to Houston Texas, and had a much better experience overall. We were able to breathe more easily, rest more easily, and there was a noticeable difference in the pressure and cabin temperature.

However I don't know if those changes would be enough to ward off motion sickness or altitude sickness for you. I liked it quite a bit, but I don't have trouble in most other flights either.

The 787 is pressurized to a lower altitude than any other plane. Whether it will be enough for you, I can't say.

Taken the dreamliner twice. Fort Lauderdale to Copenhagen and Boston to Copenhagen. No issues at all with pressure or anything uncomfortable, in fact it felt like I was sitting at home on the couch. Doesn't even feel like you are in the air. It is everything you have read and more. A lot of the complainers are those Cruise people that expect everything for nothing. Don't listen to any complaints.

Love the Dreamliner for long distance flights and definitely feel better and more rested.

Have no idea about the altitude sickness thing.

Why don't you ask your MD about Diamox?

My only complaint about the Dreamliner is seat width in economy. My shoulder was rubbing the person next to me during the flight.

Flew on United Airline Dreamliner from Houston to Heathrow yesterday. No jetlag, fresh as a daisy this morning.

Also flown Dreamliner with Qatar and Thomson.

All excellent experience.

Took the Dreamliner from Melbourne to Honolulu and return - 10 hour flight - no difference to me though dh said its quiet .still jet lagged for a week on return after as usual.

I have only been on the Dreamliner once on BA's non-stop from London to Austin. I think it is a nice plane and I liked the bigger windows. Unfortunately I felt no difference in terms of jet lag.

Thanks for all the replies. I was trying to decide on purchasing a ticket for a Dreamliner flight (longer flight and it would require a connection to my final destination) vs. a non-stop flight on a 747. I was afraid if the Dreamliner doesn't make a difference in my altitude sickness, I'll be suffering for even longer on that flight.
Sounds like I shouldn't necessarily get my hopes up too high.

mlgb - I've tried Diamox but it didn't help.
