The Asiana "Travel Class" (economy) is 34" seat pitch, 17" wide seats - same as Economy Plus.

Am toying with the idea of flying Asiana in first to Seoul and on to BKK in biz class at the end of October. Return in F on UA.

I'm surprised the DEQMs are posting so quickly. It seemed like for past promotions, they posted in one sweep sometime after the promo was over. Mine just posted this morning for flights on the 24th and 28th.

What am I doing wrong?!!! I just checked, and my Dbl EQMs have not posted. Where do I look? They are in my summary, right? And they should UP my EQM number, not my FF number, right? Is this because I'm not YET a 1k-er?? You guys get better treatment than us prem. execs.... haha

You won't see the bonus EQMs itemized anywhere. You'll just see your EQM balance go up. For example, I went to Phoenix last weekend and my miles posted a day or so after each flight. Then, yesterday morning, I noticed that my EQM balance was almost 3,000 miles higher than it was the day before, but the redeemable mileage balance hadn't changed. It looks like they're posting about once a week at this point, so it is a good idea to keep track of the EQM balance throughout the promo period to make sure you're getting credit for everything. Yours might have posted the previous week. This has nothing to do with 1K vs PE, by the way...I'm a PE, too.

Thanks for that answer. Maybe I have gotten my HNL miles, then. I did notice a jump in my miles balance, but I did not think it was enough to be the HNL trip though. I'll keep on watching.... closely.....

Guess I'll have to call too. I registered, but it doesn't appear I got the credit for our flight two weeks ago. Regular milage posted, but nothing more.

Did your total EQMs seem to take a jump? That's all that you will see. There is no line item that says "Dbl EQM program" or anything like that. Just look at the bottom line.

I keep a spreadsheet with a detailed account of all the EQM activity I expect. The only EQMs I have outstanding are 60 EQMs for the $60 ticket I got at united dot com using my MP Visa Signature Card. When I book a new ticket, I enter in the dates, airports, and mileage for each leg of a trip.

Here are some instructions, to clarify what has been written about EQM balances.

Log on to United dot com
See the My Mileage Summary/ Account Summary
Look at the lines in the Account Summary for
- Account number:
- Membership level:
- Current redeemable miles balance:
- Year to date Elite Qualifying Miles (EQM)
- Year to date Elite Qualifying Segments (EQS)

After you fly on a Star Alliance carrier or earn bonus EQMs that YTD EQM number will increase. You keep track of your EQMs by keeping track of that number.

Here is how you can get all of your flight info:

Scroll down until you see "View account activity details"
Select the From: date to be Jan 01 2009
Select the To: date to be today
Under the Categories, check only United and Star Alliance
Make the Hotel, Car, All airlines, Other checkboxes be unchecked.
Click the View button
Scroll down and see the table listing your flights.

Place your cursor and click before the R in Redeemable Miles Activity

Hold your left mouse button and scroll down to select the table and all the way down to and including "Category summarey from ..."

press the right mouse button and select Copy

open an Excel spreadsheet and paste into row 1.

delete the Elite Bonus column
delete the Total column
delete the Fare Bonus column if it is all zeroes.
delete the first row that says Redeemable miles ...
delete the last row that says Category summary
delete any rows that refer to a bonus offer.
select entire spreadsheet and un-merge the cells

You now have a summary of all of the Star Alliance flights that you have posted to your account.

Notice that the destination cities are on separate rows, so you will have to do some editing to copy/paste into the cell above and then delete the empty row.

Add to this list any double-EQM miles that you earned from the spring DEQM offer. Add in any other bonus EQMs (from credit card or carryover from 2008).

Sum up the miles and compare to your YTD EQMs. You should then be able to figure out what flights haven't posted by looking at the difference between your sum and the YTD numbers. The difference would be the DEQMs from the fall offer that didn't post yet.

Now add to this list all of your future trips, leaving empty rows so that you can keep a running total to compare against the YTD EQMs.

Add to the total any non-zero values that are in the Fare Bonus column.

I didn't go all the way to the spreadsheet, but I did isolate my actual BIS miles and figured them out. Looks like the DBL EQMs are in my account! Thanks for the detailed instructions on how to figure it all out.

Yep - you're right. Total amount did jump and I didn't catch it.

Thanks for the detailed instructions mrwunrfl. Will come in handy in the future for sure.
