Does anyone know if Newark has a "carry on bag" line, when you enter customs/immigration?. I did this at O'hare airport when I came back from Rome. I am a US citizen.

No one has answered this question yet, and I am not positive, but I don't think there is a separate line. It has been a while since I immigrated through EWR, but my memory is that immigration is the same for everyone, regardless of baggage. If you have checked luggage, you pick it up after immigration and carry it through customs. If you don't have checked bags, you just walk straight through to customs, bypassing the baggage carousel area.
