Garth: Singapore is better rated, but nothing to say against Thai. I used both for long-distance flights from Zurich to Bangkok and Singa. <BR>The Singa has the most outstanding Raffles class. But that's for the rich and must be just terrific (with beds in the upper-deck). <BR>IMO, a long distance flight (more than 7 hrs or so) is always a bit of a problem even with the very best airline. If the price difference is quite important, go for Thai. It's a good airline, no doubt!

Have you thought about Emirates, extra stop at Dubai but really cheap both Economy and Business Class. Between Thai and Sing' I'd choose Sing'.
