I don't know of any budget airlines that fly that route, but there is a new budget airline starting operations almost every day, so who knows, at the same time one disappears just as quickly.
Anyway, I believe your best bet right now is to check out www.europebyair.com or just go to opodo.com(=to orbitz.com here in US)to get a general idea of what the major airlines are charging.
Good Luck!

Morgensen, i wanted to second AAFrequentFlier. I cant help with any specific carriers, but I have had a lot of success with Orbitz and opodo.com. If nothing else, they are good for geting a baseline price to base your prelimenary budget on.

travelocity.com will do the same.
The fodors site mentions Transaero (www.transaero.ru). I don't read Russian, but there map shows a site in France that must be Paris.

The only direct flights between Moscow and Paris are by Aeroflot and Air France. Aeroflot often runs promotions in the other direction, so call them.
Otherwise all the major (not the discount) airlines make the trip, but connecting through their hub cities. Sometimes CSA is a bit less than Aeroflot.
