Canadians Flying Out of States
A group of us will be travelling to Las Vegas to celebrate a friends birthday in August. While searching for hotels, flights and overall costs, we have noticed that the price is significantly cheaper if we depart from Buffalo (we live in Toronto). The difference is approx. $200 CAD each. With these savings we are considering flying from the States.
Has any Canadians booked there vacation and departed from an American Airport? Will there be a problem when going through customs?
Thank you for all of your help.

This is very common but don't assume that the prices will always be cheaper because sometimes they are not. THough with the weakening dollar, the CDN dollar goes further. Have also seen a lot of Cuba bound AMericans going through Toronto for their winter vacations.

I am finding transborder flights very expensive this year. I say it's a direct result of the Air Canada taking over Canadian a couple of years ago.
I have been looking at some fares this summer, and most of the time it's $400+; while going to a US border city is about $250. This is true for Buffalo vs Toronto, Great Falls vs Calgary, and Seattle vs Vancouver.
