British Airways Premium Economy

Myself and my wife are travelling to Grand Cayman this November. We travel economy for the obvious reason, but BA have offered an upgrade to Premium Economy at a price of 450 Euro each way? Can't afford it both ways but, I would be interested in getting the Premium Economy on the 11 hour trip back home. Trip home is depressing enough and making it comfortable, especially being 6ft 2, would be worth the extra money.

Question - have you tried the Premium Economy and is it worth it?

Many thanks.

38" vs 31" in economy. Glass vs plastic for drinks. Meals are the same but you do get served first.

Is it worth it? Only you can decide.

If the upcharge is in € that means you're starting/ending someplace besides the UK? If so, remember all short-haul (i.e. connecting) flights will be in ordinary economy.

I'll echo AAFF. The "worth it" question is the hardest one to answer. Is the additional cost for a Porsche worth it compared to a Ford?

I agree it is a personal thing to say if it is worth it or not. My main conern is my height and the legroom to next seat. One of the main reasons for asking was that I did look at seatguru.com and found that some of the seats on the BA 767 in premium economy didn't have foot rests or as much room as others due to location in the cabin. I would be a bit agrieved if I found after paying 400+ euro I found the seat I was in had less legroom than others. First hand experiences would be a help.

That's a large amount for an upgrade to PE or was that for the 2 of you. BA frequently offers us the PE seats for about $100.00. $100.00 on an 8 hour flight is worth it to me

You get 100% of the miles in PE where you get 25% of the miles in economy. If you are collecting miles and Tier Points, it might be worth it, otherwise, I would say no.
