Anyone else nervous about flying?
Leaving for a well deserved trip to Grand Cayman in 19 days! I was excited, now I'm nervous about flying with the war and all. Anyone else feeling the same?

Flying right now is probably safer than it ever has been. The security is so high, it's probably safer than driving to the Grand Canyon and dealing with all the sleepy, drunk or plain bad drivers!

That's kind of what I think, too. It's just looking at the TV these days...well, I don't know what to think. With 9/11 it's kind of scarey, although hopefully with the heightened security they'd be able to prevent another attack like that. I guess there's probably more of a chance of getting into an accident in the car on the way to the airport than anything. They showed on the news the other night the possibility of terrorist having hand held bombs they could use to shoot down US commercial planes. That scares me. As of right now, we're flying. We leave in 18 days, so I have that long to mull it over. At least the airlines are giving one chance to passengers to put off their trip without paying the penalties. That's nice and at least is an option, although the penalties are meaningless if you feel your life is in danger when flying.

We're leaving for London in 5 days. I'm still excited! We flew over last year without any problems, just a couple of months after 9/11. Security will probably be higher than normal right now anyway. Try to enjoy your vacation!
