Another succesful AA OneWorld award booking
The only thing we had to change was the Caracas, VE part of the trip. We wanted to visit at the end of the trip but had to move it to the begining of the trip.
The rest of the trip was bookable with the dates we wanted.

So that's Tampa to Caracas with one connection. Several days in Caracas.
Then Caracas to Santiago with one connection. Overnight connection in Santiago to go to Easter Island. Couple of days on EI.
Return to Santiago for an overnight connection to Punta Arenas.
Travel by ground or other air ticket to Buenos Aires. Return from B.A. to Tampa with 2 connections and a redeye flight.
Stops in Caracas, Easter Island, Punta Arenas, and Buenos Aires. How much would it cost to buy?

I always "saved" some miles. It wasn't that hard when all I needed was 1 ticket per year. It looks like the miles will be disappearing quicker now that my gf will be joining me on these yearly vacations.
Few miles in the "bank", ~125K miles actually flown per year, status bonus doubles the above. Couple of promos here and there and we're up to 300K miles per year just from AA. Then another 50K miles or so from other sources, such as a CC, phone, restaurants, internet, hotels, etc....
There you have it.....

amazing. and yes, it stinks when the s.o. (significant other) sucks up all your miles
but i've done it to him on vacation before....
we only earn enough miles to vacation in economy class for free once every other year, but hey we can't complain! this year we're headed to europe with those miles, smilin' ear to ear!
your itinerary looks amazing.
