airlines sending schedule change messages that aren't schedule changes
In the past two weeks I received two emails - one from easyjet for a July flight, and one from Iberia for a March flight. They both said they were just telling me about a schedule change to my flight. But in both cases when I compared the specifics they were identical to what I had originally booked. Over the years I have received similar emails from various airlines, but there was usually some change, even if it was just 5 minutes or something. But now I get two, with neither of them having any change at all as far as I can tell. Anyone else have this experience and what do you make of it.

I have received notices like that when a flight # changes. It's funny because the message calls it a schedule change, yet the schedule is the same. I think the system kicks out the message regardless of the nature of the change, but perhaps they should give it a different name.

I checked the flight numbers - no change. I checked the bookings online and they are still there, still look just they did when I made them. I cannot figure it out and it does make me nervous but I really cann't see anything they changed. I was just wondering if this was a common occurrence.

If you are nervous, go to the airline's website and check flight schedule - if yours looks the same there, that should help relieve your mind. Also, you can likely look at your own reservation on the website using the confirmation number. If both of these are in order, what could be wrong?
