Accuracy of Info on United App

Anyone else have problems with accurate info on the United App?

We recently returned from Paris on United. Frankly, it has been years since I flew through CDG, so while I knew that we landed at Terminal 1, I had no idea whether this was the terminal United typically uses. We checked the app as we headed to the airport and it said that we were departing from Terminal 5, gate 34. I was surprised at this, since I didn't think there was a terminal 5 at CDG, but thought it had been enough years since I flew through CDG, maybe they had built more terminals. Of course, there is no terminal 5 at CDG. After some brief confusion, we were able to confirm that our flight departed from Terminal 1.

I have not previously noticed problems like this with the app. Have others?

BTW, we had very nice flights both ways on 767s in Biz Class.

In general, I haven't had too much trouble with the app, but I recall one weird issue in the last month or so--can't remember if it was on the outbound portion of our just-completed trip to Peru or the one before it to the west coast. From my boarding pass, I clicked on the "flight status" link to check that it was still on time and that the gate assignment hadn't changed...and the next screen showed me the flight status for the previous day's flight (i.e., already completed). That caused a momentary bit of panic.

I've found the terminal maps on the app to be more or less useless.

I had a much bigger issue with the AA app recently, when my boarding passes disappeared after going through security and before boarding...and couldn't be retrieved.

I have had good luck with the UA App. On a trip last fall that was disrupted due to delays gate changes the info via the app was actually updated before the info was posted at the gate.

I was able to track incoming planes real time as well, including arrival gate.

I've had good luck with the UA app. Like J62 the app has info updated before the airport boards.
Kathie, how was Paris?

Ok, good. It sounds like that was just an odd glitch. In general, I've found the app. useful.

Paris was wonderful. I will write a report - soon - I promise.

And ms_go, I'm looking forward to reading about your Peru trip, as we are headed there in November.
