AA: Price dropped for flights

We purchased flights from LAX to HNL back in February with AA over the internet and now find that the same flights have dropped by $88 a ticket. Are we entitled to any refund? Or is it just hard luck!!!??

rap.....I'm assuming you purchased non refundable tickets...In that case you will not be "refunded"...Non refundable tickets remain just that. However, you should be able to have these tickets "rooled over", no changes made whatsoever other than the fare going down...Call AA and request the tickets be reissued at the new fare. They should issued an MCO(Miscellaneous Charges Order) in the amount of $88 per ticket. This is a voucher type document that can be used for future credit.Really a fairly routine procedure.Best of Luck and I hope this helps......S

There are few limitations, but overall AA is really good about fare rollover. Just call AA and chances are you will receive a voucher for the difference.

Has AA changed their policy on reducing the fare? Two years ago, on a nonrefundable ticket, they credited the difference to my credit card.

Here's another example for AA refund. I purchased a r/t tix DFW-PHL for Sept 04 on Aug 24. On Aug 25 I got an email from AA alerting me their fare sale out of DFW. I checked this morning on AA.com, and the flights I've booked for are now $20 less than what I paid 2 days ago. Called AA, on hold for about 5 mins, and wa-lah, they will send me a $20 voucher for use for a future flight.

Same story here, the price went down $40 RT, called AA, got a $40 voucher in the mail a week later. Hopefully will be flying AA again soon.
