AA FF fare codes

I've tried to read all applicable threads on this board to find my answer (searched for both codes and Iberia) but I'm still empty-handed.

If I have booked an international itinerary with a MileSAAver Peak award, and most of the itinerary is booking code T, what does it mean that my Iberia flights in that itinerary are class X?

This site: http://tinyurl.com/2e7nlo and this site: http://tinyurl.com/27cukk got my hopes up but some other site (can't find now) said it was a garden variety oneworld economy fare.

I've never flown in business or first class.

Irrelevant tangent alert: still pulling my hair out trying to find spouse a paid ticket for the same itinerary (ATL-LON Jun 13, PAR-ATL Jul 3) for under $1150.

Thanks in advance!

If the IB flight is in IB flight number, than the "T" class refers to IB's booking code, not AA. I don't know what IB's "T" is, but you're looking at the wrong place.

Thank you, rkkwan. The T-coded flights are AA and the X-coded flights are Iberia. According to the site I lost and then found (http://tinyurl.com/2kwwv6), I'm chilling in Economy again (sigh). Fair enough: it took 7 years to save up enough miles for that- sheesh.

Is that right?

I appreciate the time you took to help me.

Now to find my spouse a ticket...

This is a wag but the T is probably the booking class for economy class award seats on AA flights that connect to IB international flights and the X is the IB booking class for awards (which would be why the X doesn't show up on those mileage accrual booking class lists).

I see you found your answer while I was composing. Good luck for the revenue ticket.

I'm afraid the $1150 fare will probably be the best you can find for that time of the year. With diminished capacity and the fuel prices at record highs I doubt vey much you'll find anything cheaper.

It's possible the fares may drop by $50-100 but it's also possible that the fares may go up by $200-300 between now and June.

Are you a gambler?

Thank you for your comments, mrwunrfl.

AAFrequentFlyer, I always appreciate your sage advice because although I post infrequently, I read a lot (huge lurker). As a result, I may just take the plunge this week. I do mean to book my spouse on the same dates, not the same itinerary. If I did, a divorce might be requested.

For everyone's (good-natured) Schadenfreude perusal, my craptastic award itinerary (booked in October- too late):

AA1721 ATLANTA FRI 13JUN 6:20 AM MIAMI INTERNTNL Arrives 8:05 AM T

Iberia 6122 MIAMI INTERNTNL FRI 13JUN 6:30 PM MADRID Arrives 7:40 AM Jun 14 X

Iberia 3174 MADRID SAT 14JUN
9:45 AM LONDON HEATHROW Arrives 11:05 AM X

AA121 PARIS DE GAULLE THU 03JUL
5:50 PM NEW YORK JFK 8:00 PM T

AA2393 NEW YORK LGA FRI 04JUL
3:55 PM ATLANTA 6:35 PM T
