Ndutu bookings

We were just at Ndutu earlier this week (great trip, 27 cheetahs with many moms with cubs) and according to the managers Feb 2009 is ALREADY booked solid.
Ndutu still had openings during January or March 2009 as of last week (we asked while staying there) or you could get placed on a waitlist for February 09. Because they have a very relaxed policy of no early deposits they have a lot of people book well in advance and then cancel later when initial payment is due, so there is usually a fair chance you can score rooms later. As an example we were wait-listed from Feb 2007 - November before finally getting the dates we wanted for late Feb - early March 2008.

If you're working with an agent/outfitter, they should be able to ascertain and advise availability after July. Give them the dates and see what they can advise/hold for you. It's not unusual for Ndutu to be booked 1/yr in advance.

We have an operator who put in a request for Ndutu back in Dec but can't "confirm". On our last trip I know it was Nov before we were confirmed for the following Feb and did not get all the nights we wanted and that was booking over a year ahead.
