Khula Village near St Lucia ?
Hello,
We will be in St Lucia in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if anyone has been to Khula Village near St Lucia ? I am looking for something more authentic than Shakaland (not really interested in that). Is it more just a tourist setting ? Any other ideas for a Zulu cultural experience or tour ?
Thanks !
Kelly

Hi- Kelly
I was curious if you ever visited this village and if so what your experience was. We are planning on a trip in the coming months and as also looking for an authentic village. Not sure if its appropriate to just walk around the village exploring, if not on a tour. I'd welcome any ideas. We will be traveling with my 2 daughters 10 and 12.
Thanks in advance- Chris

Hi Chris,
No we did not visit the village. If I recall, there were some village tours but we really just ran out of time in the end. We really enjoyed St Lucia, for a bit of culture there are some Zulu boys that meet the boats coming off the estuary tour in traditional costumes and dance, touristy but it was really beautiful. We also saw them walking around in the evenings dancing in front of some of the restaurants. If you do get to go, please report back. Have a great trip !
