St Lucia loacal use of Gonja?
Not sure if thats how you spell it but I've read reviews where many locals smoke pot. Assuming this is just the way it has always been and if so, it doesn't pose a problem w/ my wife & I traveling there does it? They don't try & sell it to us like street vendors? It doesn't pose a crime problem we'd need to be concerned about? Thank you

No worries. It's the most beautiful island and well worth the visit. We didn't see any vendors trying to sell.
Not sure how long you're at St. Lucia, but if you have the time, take a tour with www.COSOLtours.com. It the best island tour we've ever had. Cosol himself is one of the drivers/guides and the tour is a wonderful experience.

While I have not been to St. Lucia, I have been offered marijuana while walking down the street on other islands. When I gave a simple "no thanks" they moved on. It was a tourist area, and it did not seem to pose any kind of crime problem. I would not expect that sort of thing to cause you any problems or increase the crime risk on St. Lucia either.
