Beach nearest Marrakech?

Hi

Can anyone suggest the nearest beach to Marrakech that is worth visiting? Would you need to stay overnight or is it a day trip?

Also, what's the best way to get there?

Thanks

Hi,
The nearest beach is in Essaouira, but the best exist in Sidi Kaouki out of Essaouira little, as you can do it in a day trip using the Bus as the easiest and cheapest way to travel there.
also there is, Sidi Ifni too nice beach, In Agadir but if you go there would take more time, so suggest to overnight, but it's good to do a day trip to Essaouira, Sidi Kaouki will need another transport from Essaouira like going on a Grand Taxi.

Hi

Thanks for your reply

Roughly how much would it cost to travel to Essaouira by bus? And how much to Sidi Kaouki by taxi?

Thanks

Hi,
For the bus rates use their website: www.oncf.ma
for the Taxi to Sidi Kaouki! actually don't know exactly but try to use some guideBook must have some prices to show that short destination from Essaouira to Sidi Kaouki.
But i hope someone would jump to give those details, i've travelled in a car several times.

Bear in mind that its usually very windy which make it very unpleasant, another option would be Agadir, 3 hr journey from Marrakech, a resort type of a city with a little to offer in my opinion, but the beach there s outstanding.

My driver sitting next to me says SK. But I want to say go to fes and not MK. Fes is wonderful. As is the desert. I'm now rather dreading MK and changing my plans to spend less time there.
