what time of day for helicopter ride over the falls?

I need to arrange this last excursion for our trip and was hoping to get some thoughts on what time of day would be best to do the helicopter ride? we were thinking around dusk but opinions would be appreciated.

I've heard that either early in the morning or right before dusk are the best times because of the light. But we did it at 2:30 pm and it was fantastic.

Let me also recommend the Livingstone Island activity, you get unbelievably close to the lip of the falls. We liked this activity even better than the heli

What time of year will you be there? I went in Dec 2005 (green/rainy season) and was scheduled for the morning but a storm came in and almost scrapped the idea. I decided to wait out the storm for a few hours and went up in the early afternoon. It was so worth the wait. If I had a choice, sundown would be ideal.

we will be there in October - doing the helicopter since we are staying on the Zambia side and hoping to see more.

We are already booked on the livingstone Island tea and definitely looking forward to that.

We did the heli ride the 1st of Aug.
We decided to do a morning ride because as the Sun is setting it is incredibly blinding (at least it is from the ground looking west from the Zambia side.)

The ride is fun.

A micro-light is a fantastic way to see the falls. You're in the open air, with no walls between you and the falls as in a helicopter. I loved it.
