We're booked and ready to go...
We are finally set to go on our Rwanda/Kenya trip in mid-September. We will be in Rwanda September 15 to 19 staying at the Gorilla's Nest with two gorilla treks and then off to Little Governor's September 20 to 26.
Any tips or suggestions appreciated. Maybe we'll see some fellow Fodorites there! We'll be easy to spot...I'll be the Canadian girl with the big smile on her face after she finally gets to see her gorillas!!

Hi there Loru100
My only tip is very mundane: take gardening gloves with you for your gorilla treks. You probably know everything else ... (My trip report on Rwanda goes into excessive detail about the treks - wade through it if you can face it!)
Hope you have a great time, Bushchick

These two threads have answers. If the above threads don't mention it, I'd add some bandaids or Dr. Shole's moleskin in case your shoes rub against your feet. The shoes may be perfectly broken in and comfortable but the steep inclines, declines, and uneven terrain may rub parts of your feet differently than you are used to.
You have an exciting combo.
