Welcome back, Lynn. You are such a kind and generous poster. I look forward to seeing a link to your So. African trip report. And photos, too, I hope.

Welcome back, Lynn.

Hope you had a fantastic trip to South America. Can't wait to see your photos.

You missed the ugly week of rain here in MKE. ;-)

Why thank you all! Brazil was wonderful. Lots of animals that we don't find in Africa. Many of the same egrets, though. I will do a Brazil report and include a link or a summary here.

I have sort of taken over the forum by responding to almost a month's worth of past posts. Every third post is me again!

Hey Lynn, glad you are back and I am excited to hear about the Pantanal! We are leaving Friday for the Mongolia/China trip, so I will e-mail you to let you know how that goes!

The medical requirements for the panda volunteering must have work out then.

We actually decided not to volunteer, but rather just to spend 2 days at Wolong as tourists. We got in touch with one of the staff at Chengdu (English-speaking) and may have the opportunity to meet her when we visit there.
I went back and looked at your comments on our itinerary the other day and laughed out loud a couple of times!
We will let you know how it all goes, and thanks again for all your advice in planning our trip. We will definitely be following in your footsteps!
Chris
P.S. we had a last-minute itinerary change in Mongolia -- we are going to visit Lake Huvsgul instead of the Altai mountains. I think that is going to be pretty cool!
