Download both Visa applications - Kenya and Tanzania - from their respective tourism websites. Have them completed when you first enter each country with the USD$50. This way, you can go immediately to this counter which is adjacent to the Immigration lines... the wait is usually short, and you won't need photos as if you sent your application/passport to the respective Embassies.
You may be able to get a Transit Visa upon entry to Kenya at USD$20... ask, all they can say is NO! The rules are vague (welcome to Africa).
I don't recall a Visa requirement for US citizens into the Seychelles (but this was back a few years), but there is a departure tax payable in local Rupies, unless they now include this in your air ticket - so check.
Remember, if going to the Seychelles after being on mainland Africa - Kenya or Tanzania - you will require the Yellow Fever inoculation (and don't forget to have the yellow card with you).

Thanks Patty, Jack and Sandi,
Your right there doesn't seem to be any real rules on the req. My tour company sent the forms to be sent to the embassys'.
Sandi - Do you know the web. sites for the forms? You memory is very much intact, re: the YF vacs.
DH got his yellow fever. I will be getting mine soon, as my docs. wanted to time the YF vac. mid cycle between my infusion meds. being that the YF is a live vac.
The YF vac. has been the topic of much discussion with a few docs. as to the pros and cons of getting the vac. I guess they figure it's best to not get YF and take the other risk of me potentially glowing in the dark .
Thanks;
Sherry

I am posting this comment because in reading Sherry's recent question I noticed my previous comments re potential rudeness at the TZ D.C. Embassy. We were treated very well so I do not want to leave my earlier comments as the last word. I posted an account of it--

Can't find the websites with the Kenya and/or Tanzania visa applications, but have these as Word docs. Send me your email address at:
[email protected]
mark as reference "Visa applications"
I'll send these to you directly.
Unless, of course, someone out there has the websites where you can download directly.
