Tours from Eilat to Petra

We are planning our trip to Israel and are working on our Eilat Petra portion. We have chosen to go the easy way out and go with one of the tour companies. We haven't made our decision yet which one. Maybe you folks can help us.

Any feedback on Desert Echo tours & Petra Israel tour company??? They both operate tours from Eilat to Petra. We have found feedback on trip advisor on Desert Echo, but not on Petra Israel.

The other question we have is does anyone know if the tour companies operate tours from Eilat to Petra on Fridays & Saturdays??? We are waiting for a reply from Desert Echo, but it's Shabbat now, so we probably won't hear till Sunday/Monday.

Hope you can help!! Thank-you

Shari

Desert Eco tours gets great feedback consistently. I'm pretty sure that they do have tours on Fridays and Saturdays - however, their office may be closed for Shabbat - they should get back to you today. If you don't hear back then I suggest you call -for reasons no one has figured out yet, some Israeli businesses don't do well with emails, but will answer the phone.

I have nothing to share about tour companies (although we use them elsewhere). My curiosity is why are you going from Eilat to Petra? I don't think it is a place to stay long. Do you have a plan for Israel travel at that point?

Do you mean you don't think Petra is a place to stay "long" or Eilat? Petra is easily worth three nights, if not more.

How else do you expect him to get to Petra from Israel ? The King Hussein Bridge requires a visa in advance and is much more of a hassle.
