Hi fellow travelers. I will be going to Egypt at the end of September for a 2 week trip with Smithsonian Journeys. Because of limited flights I am flying into Cairo 3 days before the trip gets started. I'm a little out of my comfort zone and this is my first trip to the African continent. Can anyone recommend a company that could provide me with a tour guide for those days? I would like to spend one day at the pyramids, and possibly one day exploring the museums on my own. Maybe going to Alexandria. Or whatever. I've just found this guy's website: John Navarre and he seems to work with a company called Egypt Elite. Would love to know if anyone has a recommendation for a company, or has any knowledge of Egypt Elite. Many thanks and happy traveling.

Not an exact answer to your question but a better solution, I believe, going direct, saving the agency's markup. And also getting a wonderful guide in the process.
