A few years a go we used DUMA Explorer, the company was fairly new at the time. It is owned by a Stanford grad from Houston, Tx.who moved to Tanzania after college. I cannot say enough about how incredible our trip was. We wanted to avoid a middle man, to save $$ for 5 people.
I did so much research for over a year. Our group of 5 included our adult kids and son-in-law. I dismantled trips from A and K, Micato, and others, came up with the lodges/camps we were interested in, and Stacy filled in the rest. The cost savings was substantial, and the service Stacy, the owner, supplied were perfect.
Duma Explorer has a website, but she will customize any trip. She owns her own vehicles, employs the guides, we had Isack, a real gem. Don't hesitate to contact me if you would like more info. We plan to return to Tanzania next year to do Seleous and will use Duma again.

my husband and I went to tanzania last September on a 12 day private safari with Wild Source, a us company out of golden colo. what a wonderful trip, truly a lifetime trip. our guide, deo, is excellent, the camps were outstanding. we had a "hard core" safari in that we were up before dawn, had bush breakfast and lunch, and often returned at dark. we viewed more wildlife in the first two days than we had expected to see on the entire trip. we highly recommend Wild Source as the best place for a hard core trip. bill givens will design a trip to your excact interest and you will not be disappointed. again, a trip of a lifetime.
