Sweet 'n'Low? Diet colas on safari?
You can tell we're down to the truly minute obsessions before we leave wednesday!
Can on get Sweet'n'Low at places like Tortilis, Serenas, etc? (Steve's idiosyncracy!) How about diet Pepsi or other Cola (John's addiction)
Obviously can't pack a month of colas, but *I* could bring a baggy of sweet n low if needed!

I'm fairly confident most places will have diet soft drinks - I doubt you'll have problems finding those.
As for sweeteners - again I think most upmarket camps will offer some BUT it may not be a brand you're keen on.
Given that most brands sell small plastic containers of tiny pill forms of their sweeteners you might want to just put one of those in your handluggage anyway.

Coke Light, which is what you get in Southern Africa and in the parts of Europe I've been to, isn't the same as Diet Coke. It's sweetened with something other than Nutrasweet. I like it fine, but I can definitely tell the difference in taste. I don't think Pepsi products are available in Southern Africa, which is odd, considering that Pizza Hut is endemic, and they're owned by the same company.

I agree with Celia. The light Coke tastes very different from diet Coke. No Sweet n Low or any type of artificial sweetner that I've ever seen. If you use sweetner in coffee or hot tea, take your own. I don't remember iced tea being offered in any of the camps, so we've never really needed the packets.
