South Africa Tour Help

I am in South Africa an business and have allotted about 6 days to see some of the highlights of South Africa next week. I would really appreciate some help with identifying a tour company or agent that can help me arrange to do the following in a very compressed timeframe:

High-end wine tour - approx 2 days hitting Franschoek, Stellenbosch, Paarl if possible
Table Mountain
Robben Island
District 6 Museum
Hermanus or Cape Point ( Penguins)
Route 62 and/or Route 44 drive
Shark Dive

Would also fit in the Drankensburg mountains or a night in Sabi sabi game reserve if at all possible..

I am not a comfortable right hand driver-- but will do that if it is the only way..

Any suggestions as to how to arrange this would be greatly appreciated

6 days would ask for 3 day wine and 3 days safari.
Or stay in the cape region.
Forget about a ONE NIGHT safari. Waste of time and money - IMHO.

Please provide the budget and minimize your interests. Otherwise it's the search for a needle in the hay.

Thanks for the suggestion Spassvogel. I am happy to let go of the Safari stuff this trip so 2-3 days tasting/touring the Winelands and 4 in/around Cape Town will work. No budget limitations--

Why don't use contact Thompsons Africa http://www.thompsonsafrica.com/homepage126.aspx
You can call them on 27 31 275 3500. They are a top tour operator in South Africa. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Hi PPR

Having a rental car would make things easy for following sudden ideas. But you can also rent a car with a driver when based in Cape Town.

If I were in your shoes (I am German driving on the right which means switch to the left in SA which is not a big deal at all. But if you are uncomfortable with the idea alone - get a driver) my itinerary would be as follows:

Stay for 3 days/nights in Cape Town and do the sightseeing routine including
- Robben Island (make reservations in advance!)
- Bokap
- Kirstenbosch Gardens
- Cape of Good Hope via Boulders for the Penguins
- Table mountain (go up as soon as it is clear/no overcast and don't postpone!)
- Long Street
- Camps Bay for a leisurely afternoon drink if weather allows

- drive to Hermanus for Whale watching and maybe combined with the Shark dive enroute and stay overnight at The Marine.

- proceed further to Franschhoek and stay there for the rest of the trip doing wine tastings in and around Franschhoek incl. Stellenbosch and Paarl wineries.

Happy Planning!

For your shark dive try these folks, out of Simonstown: http://www.ultimate-animals.com/
One of the guys in my scuba club went with them last year and said they were great. I am booked with them myself in a couple of week.
