Hi everybody, can you tell me if going by 4x4 car from Cape Town to Windhoek in 2 weeks sounds crazy or possible?
Any advice is welcome

No problem you do not even need a 4x4 a standard sedan will do it no problem. You can do it with a single overnight stop and you will then have the rest of the 2 weeks to enjoy the rest of your holiday

A nice place to stop is in Springbok, SA, about 7 hours or so from Cape Town. We stayed at Annie's Cottage and had a nice overnight. Then you have about a 10 hour (depending on how fast you drive) drive to Windhoek. The road is great, two-lane and VERY long stretches of very straight road.

Now u know it is possible, I'd like to recommend a small stop at the Gannet colony in Lambert's Bay during nesting season. fantastic place, few people ever go there
about 250km north of Cape town, on the way to Namibia, you reach Clanwilliam.
turning left towards the ocean about 69km & u r at Lambert's Bay

yep, totally possible. you could stop at fish river canyon for the night. you can camp there or there are several hotels. i have pics on my web site from my road trip there.

As all others have said, it's possible but travel time will eat into your time in Namibia. If you don't mind driving a couple of long days coming and going, it is a great way to see the country. As discussed a 4x4 is not necessary. I was able to rent a VW Chico from Europcar (No A/C and manual) for less than $100 US/week in South Africa. There may be an additional charage to take the vehicle to Namibia. This would be fine for almost everywhere a tourists would go in Namibia.

Time frame is fine.
Much to see and do on the way up, what time of year do you plan to do the trip?

Some of my stops would include:

Cederberg Mountains in SA.
West Coast National Park.
Patrenoster, alt, Lamberts Baai.
Flowesr of the region if travelling toward the middle of September.
Augrabies Falls National Park.
Richtersveld.

Once in Namibia.
Fish River Canyon (Ais Ais)
Luderitz & Kolmanskop. (Kuiseb Canyon Rd)
Sossusvlei & Naukluft Nat Park.
Walvis & Swakopmund.
Brandberg & the white lady.

Corrado, as you would have gathered by now - not only possible, but desirable. There is much to see and do on route, especially during early spring when the flowers are in full bloom. However, that is unlikely and you would probably be driving stright up along the main road. You have been given a number of places of interest so I will just add my two cents worth.
Stops that I would consider would be:
Vioolsdrift on the the Orange river where one can take canoe trips of a day or two toward the Richtersveld,
The Fish River Canyon - camping at Hobas or finding accommodation at Ai-Ais.
Keetmanshoop - the Quiiver Tree forest at dawn and at sunset for beautiful photagraphs, and the Giants playground nearby.
Then, taking the western route up from Aus via Helmeringshausen, visit the Duisib Castle and carry on to Sesriem. That would be your base for a Sossusvlei visit.
(Luderitz is a very interesting place, with Kolmanskop (the deserted mining town gradually being swalled by the desert) the main attraction, but also somewhat off the route.)
From Solitaire to Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, before doing a north-eastern loop to Windhoek.
