South Africa climate/weather
The World Cup will be held in South Africa in late June 2010. What is the climate like in South Africa at that time of year (winter)? Does it differ in different parts of the country? Will there be snow? (I'd love to go, but not if it's going to be "winter" in the traditional sense of that word....winter like San Francisco or Sydney would be just fine).

You are asking for the 1 million $-answer ;-)
Generally speaking - but weather is changing all over the world and becomes unpredictable for almost every corner of the globe:
Most of the northern part of the country (Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West) has mostly warm days (up to 25°C midday) and cool/cold nights (reaching zero or even below zero °C) and particularly mornings (for early morning activities you should be prepared to wear stuff comparable to European winters but that is because of open vehicles where you will be vulnerable to weather/wind).
That is meant in view to any add-on safari to your FIFA activities.
Cape Town and along the coast (Garden route) might have a very unpleasant climate then but might also be wonderful sunny with days around 20°C. Here it's quite unpredictable.
Hope that helps.
