Ruckomechi Camp/Mama Pools....heat in early-mid October?
Yeah..not Mama Pools....could not edit the title...yet another goof!!
I've received conflicting opinions about October heat at Mana Pools on another forum, so will ask here:
If anyone has been to a riverside lodge in Mana Pools during the first part of October, did the heat diminish your experience? I am looking at Little Ruckomechi, which of course has tents with no a/c.
Some say the fans and the breeze from the Zambezi keep it cool enough to sleep; others give the "suicide month" point of view. I'd be there early part of October. I'd love to hear in particular about Little Ruckomechi since that's where I'd be headed. do the fans keep the site cool enough to sleep, and be comfy enough during the lull between game drives?
I'd combine Mana with Hwange, where I am looking at Linkwasha and Pamushana; there they have a/c in the tents/cottages.
