Regency Suites, Tel Aviv

Hello, anybody knows if it's a good idea for a single woman to stay at the Best Western Regency Suites in Tel Aviv.

The map, and I don't know how detailed, shows it at 80 Hayarkon (or is it Hay Arkon as they typed it on the Best Western site?) somewhere between Shalom Aleichem and Bograshov.

It looks like the hotel is very close to "the promenade".

I will need an inexpensive 2-night stay before joining a tour of the country.

If it's the one I think it is, it's across the street from the Yamit, which we use (and which is next door to the US embassy.) From what I've seen from the outside, it looks quite all right. If it is the one, then you're a block and a half, and uphill, from the beach and promenade.

Hayarkon, "hai-arkon."

Thank you, Gardyloo, and please tell me is the hill steep? My legs are not good and if the hill is steep...

I only vaguely remember that area from 7 years ago, the beautiful beach, even have a picture, but no clue.

And I know how to say Hayarkon, I think they mistyped it on the BW website, and it's funny!

It's basically a 20-foot cliff. But just up the street from the Yamit/BW is a terraced park and memorial where you can zigzag down to the beach; no problem.
